I'm going to do something I've never done on RV.net before... I'm going to reveal my last name, simply so you can see the photo below.
I made 3 of these signs. The first was with our Suburban and Dutchmen. The second was with our (gas) 3500 dully and Dutchmen. The third was our 3500 dully diesel and Springdale. The second and third one I made included our canoe on top of the tow vehicle. I never did make one for current rig: 2014 Dually with 2013 Outback. (too much labor intensive, and currently engaged in too many other wood working projects right now).
The first and 3rd ended up getting broken. I dropped both of them at one time or another. The second one (photo below) is now hanging insider our front door greeting anyone who come is.
I quit hanging the sign when camping for a couple reasons. One, I really don't want anyone to know who I am. Not that I'm that important or anythin, but when camping, I just want to be anonymous. Two, we simply got tired of putting yark ornaments out when camping. It's too much work.
You may ask, How did he make those:
I took a photo of the rig. I then printed the photo on a printer, but blew it up about 24 inches across. I then took the photo-copy and pasted it to a piece of wood, and simply cut out the image on my scroll saw. After it was cut out, I sanded, and painted the details to match my camper and tow vehicle (and canoe). Then applied 3 or 4 layers of varnish on top of the paint. Attached a chain, and there it is!
