How many miles have you towed in one day?
We are planning a trip to Yellowstone next August. I want to go about 550 miles the first day. My wife says thats too far. What do others think?

10 to 12 hours is what I aim for. Sometimes that's 500 miles, sometimes it's a lot less with construction or congestion.
A few times I've done more but almost always regretted it, since being over tried wrecks the next few days for me.
I'm still working and as a contractor, there's no paid time off, so every day on the road is expensive... Going slowly to smell roses isn't in the cards right now.
