In the 1980s - We had an old used 22' North American inboard fishing boat and kept it at Ocean City, Md. Great times running around the bay and down to Assateague to anchor for picnics. Cheap, solid, forgiving, best boat we ever had.
That led to a 28’ cabin cruser bought new that we kept on the Chesapeake Bay. Great times cruising the big bay for weekends to the little Eastern Shore towns. Lots of raft-ups, great memories.
The last one was a used 24’ sailboat when we lived in the Caribbean. Didn't use it much after my significant other's wrist surgery. A storm took it off the moorings and into some rocks while we were off island, end of that story.
Great times. The truth is - I like RVing better. I think it's the solid ground beneath you that appeals to me.
