It depends on what you call an RV. We have owned a pop-up, a 19 ft tt, a 32ft tt, a truck camper, and now own a 32-ft
However, we also camped in a van, a station wagon and a truck w/o the camper. The van and the station wagon were purchased specifically for their dual use as everyday vehicle and camping use. The truck was used for camping because we had it, but I hated sleeping in the exposed bed. It felt too vulnerable to whatever wanted to creep, fly, or slither in to join us.
