Lets see grandparents popup back in the early 60's. Parents 10.5' cabover camper that we moved coast to coast in and then camped in CA with. My personal started with a 72 Ford van, back van's were the in vehicle, followed by an 75 Dodge van. these had carpeted floors all the walls covered and insulated with an icebox behind the drivers seat. Put thousands of miles on those two during my time in the Marines.
Now move on to a tent and sleeping bag strapped to the motorcycle, think Then Came Bronson for those old enough!
Few years of that met wife to be and started camping out of 4X4, 47 Willys pickup to start with then 85 Dodge Ramcharger, thought we were styling now we got a/c everything inside, including my dogs!
Few years later our first rv proper, a 1990 Airex 30' class A. We had it in a rental fleet when weren't using it and used it when we wanted mostly.
After coming out of the fleet kids were getting older and busy and the motorhome went away as we just weren't using it.
Back to Ramcharger and tent for annual campout at the like with ski boat.
Latest all but youngest out of the house back into a class A 2006 Dolphin 36' we bought brand new in 07 and still driving today!
