A products value is only determined by what someone is willing to pay for it. A $1,000 iPhone 11 may seem a high price, people are willing to pay it cause they want it and it provides value to them.
It’s hard for me to see the value of a small diesel class c motorhome costing in excess of $120,000 when you can get a much bigger class a with more of everything for significantly less money. But many people choose them for their own reasons.
Hard to argue with your last point.
