Yes the higher power items will be more efficient. Even the controller has better efficiency.
Not saying it is end all better but larger systems tend to use higher voltage.
Sounds interesting. So some components will be cheaper but there will be an additional converter (24->12v)?
What is this "parallel battery issue" you are referring to?
Also, I wonder if there's any Danfross 24V fridge around...
