I've lived in the west all my life and have traveled on many major roads in most states and have yet to come up on a toll road. I grew up in the SF Bay area and of course the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate are toll bridges, and the only ones I've came upon, all though I am sure there others, even the London Bridge in AZ, not very long, was not toll. So I assume toll roads are a normal occurrence in the east. I have been east, but only by plane, and I drove out to the Florida Key on one trip. Not well traveled, other then the west. Prepping the MH right now!
We live very close to Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Parks. They charge a fee for entrance,$25, and the roads exit to other states, ID, MT, WY, through a toll booth. Many times a trip through the parks is a shorter route to another state, and no doubt becomes a Federal toll road. If you come back through within two-weeks, your receipt is still good.
