I don't like paying taxes and I don't like paying tolls. However, both are necessary. And I do pay them, but how much money is diverted from it's intended purpose and how much more is wasted?
I do think charging tolls to maintain the interstates is better than paying higher taxes to maintain those roads. That way drivers who use the roads are the ones paying to maintain those roads.
This argument is endless, just like people complaining about the terrible conditions of the roads and then go on to complain about traffic tie-ups during road reconstruction projects to give us better roads.
