Boat trailer
Should have used Gorilla Tape and bailing wire. :) - Dutch_12078Explorer IIII'll give the guy points for ingenuity, but that's about all.
- Chum_leeExplorerJust the fact that the boat was balanced as well as it was says to me that the driver had some semblance of the thought process. (the real question is, . . . How much!) All things considered, on the straight and level, he's probably OK. On winding mountain roads, . . . . . not so much. But, at the boat launch ramp, I'd be willing to set up grandstands and charge a fee to those wanting see that boat get put in the water.
Hopefully it was going somewhere to a dry dock.
Chum lee - MrWizardModeratorthe way i see it
the big problem was the possibility of the 'load' shifting
the sailboat coming off the pallets
he should have used the pallets to build his 'dry dock' at home ?
or where ever he was taking it
then rented the correct trailer or paid somebody to move the boat
i'm sure he wisihing that he had done that,
and he going to have to pay the fines the tow fees and the moving fees when he moves it, that is if he doesn't default on the whole thing and leave it in the tow lot - Farmboy666Explorer

If the guy had $2,071.00, he probably could have afforded a trailer.
Nobody says he has it he's just going to have to get it. - RGar974417ExplorerIf the guy had $2,071.00, he probably could have afforded a trailer.

On another forum I am listening to people talk about how the trailer is fine and government over reach is the real problem. I don't think so.
While I don't agree that this trailer is "Fine", I do understand that most of the problem is the state didn't get their piece.... ;)
