How often do you need to tighen your hitch ball?

I never knew this was such an in depth and serious issue.

I used a 3/4 drive impact to tighten mine. It is plenty tight. If I was concerned about it coming loose I would weld the nut to the threads. To get it off, about 15 seconds with an oxy fuel torch should do the trick.
