Hey I resemble that comment... !!! :) I know what you are referring too and I do not think you are singling out a profession, however pick a different adjective.
I'll go with the farmer with 30 years of experience over the green tech any day, maybe even a seasoned one in some cases. Those of use who came from an agricultural background are a proud bunch and by the time we went off to school to learn what Dad or Uncle Art had been telling us for years gave us a jump start in industry over others who never picked up a wrench. Also Uncle Art always had a Snap On dial torque wrench. When he passed away, my cousin got it but I have his Snap On tool chest. I think he bought is back in the 50's.
