This is interesting and may explain how the other set of head bolts got messed up. 1 1/2 flats - I believe is 90 degrees, which is 1/4 turn.
I'm pretty sure the instructions for the hitch say to torque to 150 ft lbs plus 1/4 turn. I must have over stressed the bolts a number of times before one finally failed.
This is great info, I'm going to double check my stuff first chance I get.
