I agree with all the perspectives, and yet, it's still nice to see a thoughtful calculation. Seems comprehensive, including items in the comments- we start trips trying to calculate some of the intangibles but then quickly get into "oh seeing that was worth at least $500" - and then stop! While repair costs are manageable, it's a wonderful hobby that's expensive yet priceless.
