I thought I would share this tip:
I bought this tube of Geocel in 2010 for $9. I used a small amount to seal a leak and then sealed it up in a bag with my Food Saver vacuum sealer. I opened it again in 2012 to seal another leak and then resealed it in the same bag.
I had to open it again this morning to seal another leak and it flowed as well as it did the day I bought it.
Each time I use a very small amount so at this rate this tube should last me many years to come.

My system consist of a very long like 3" screw in the tip so I can back that out and then get the dried off stuff out and then wrap the tip in multiple layers of duct tape. However, IIRC some of the higher end caulks like the 3M Marine 4000 and 5000 series starts a chemical reaction when exposed to air where the curing continues into the caulk really far so trying to save that type caulk once opened is iffy at best and that's why the specific directions say to even use it within like 24 to 48 hours once it's opened.
