Ok, so haven't posted in a LONG WHILE....years in fact. We have been RV'ing for over 20 years. We have had a TT, 4 5th wheels and a MH for the past 10 years. We just sold the MH and went back to a 5th wheel as we now have a boat to tow. Purchased a used Silverado 3500 dually. Has a goose neck hitch in it. Have no idea what kind. We are looking into the B&W companion hitch, but looks like it only works with the B&W turnover gooseneck ball. Can anyone tell me how to know if we have this hitch or some other hitch? We have our old Reese 5th wheel hitch still, but hubby wants to be able to use the bed and not have to have rails in the way. Thanks for any advice.

The B&W turnover gooseneck ball has a square shank. Also look where the hitch bolts to the frame, there should be a name tag.

It is very easy to post pictures on our forums. One of our moderators, 1492, developed this app to post your pictures. It works for other internet sites also. There is no need to have a separate hosting site for your pictures in order to use it.

It is very simple to use.
1. Upload your picture from your computer to the app.
2. Copy the resulting URL.
3. Paste that URL into your post without ANY changes. No additions or deletions.

Your picture will then appear in your post and be properly sized for use on our forums.:)

Underneath there are a few small areas of gray paint otherwise it's all pretty much gone and there's no name on the hitch. I'm sure it's been in since 2005 and everything has worn off.

My "turn over ball" hitch is by Buyers. Looks identical to B&W's Turn-Over-Ball hitch but is painted black. B&W's Companion fifth wheel hitch fits it just fine. So you could have a Buyers hitch.
