Hurricane Disaster Safety Tip

In the event of a tornado or hurricane,
put some hot dogs in your pocket.

That way the search dogs will find you first!
  • I am usually just a lurker. But, I want to say, I am so glad you and your convivients are safe. Sadly we had Harvey to teach us what had to be done in Irma. I saw many many Florida plates on cars here yesterday and I have evacuees staying in my MoHo as I write this. Praying you and your neighbors stay safe and Electric returns to you quickly.

Many dead in Texas. Houston was not layed out with storm evacuation in mind and thus getting outta there for many is not possible.

However in FL they did some "Disaster planning" from day one so the chances can get outtta Dodge is better.. Plus with Harvey warning people, even the jackass who claimed "it's all a liberal conspiracy" were convinced to clear out.

Yesterday I visited this URL https://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/southeast_loop.php

All of Florida was involved, today it has moved NOrth over Georgia and the Carolians among other states. This is one BIG storm.

You guys are all so talented! :C I need some laughs right about now.

Been up for two days now. Between preparing and playing hospice to 2 senior dogs trying to keep them from spontaneously combusting from all the change. One is 20 the other 14. The other 2 are just going with the flow thank god.

Their Crates are in the bathroom, lights going on and off now. Getting ready to spend some time in the bathroom real soon here.

And just now they predict the eye of the hurricane to go right over my house in the next hour or so. :(

Did I tell you all how much I miss my basement in the ole house up North!

I'm just praying that the MH doesn't flip over onto my house.

I'd be really p'd if it was my MH that got me and not some tree. :B

    Hang in there, buddy!

    Best response ever.
  • So far zero dead in the US. Let's hope that continues and the guy that was saying to put your SS on your arm to make recovery easier was just a chicken little type.
