That's a bit of an extreme exaggeration.
Above central FL and to the west is still projected to be pretty safe. Up where we live, we're projecting for 20-30 MPH winds, maybe gusting to 40-50 at most. Obviously along the west coast, there's going to be some storm surge and high water levels. North and west of us, and all throughout the panhandle will maybe see some rain. West of Tallahassee = what storm?
East Coast from Ft. Lauderdale to Jacksonville = WATCH OUT!
