Meanwhile, 43% of all gas stations in Miami were out of fuel yesterday, and many in Orlando, elsewhere too. The state officials are scrambling to get gas so evacuation can even happen. Oil refineries damaged by Harvey.
Our forecasters say our city on the Gulf coast probably will get only tropical storm level winds. People right on our barrier islands in Zone A here will evacuate because of several feet of potential flooding. The rest of us...still on hold ...because we could be unnecessarily adding to the truly impossible task of evacuating everyone.

I doubt there's very many tourists in FL right now (comparatively speaking of course). The population of the 3 big SE counties (palm beach, broward, miami-dade) makes up roughly 1/3 of the state's total population. The Keys are an extremely small number of people. 30K sounds like about half of their population.
We know people who live all over the state...miami to jax...none of them are leaving. We're not aware of anyone in our community that's leaving. Sure, most of us have a plan b, but plan a is to stay here.
