I'd get out. Just the remnants of a hurricane in Evansville, IN was about to drive me nuts. One day of constant 60 mph winds no rain.
I wouldn't want to try 2-3 days of higher wind with rain. I would take a trip and enjoy life a bit more. I also wouldn't be caught in the traffic jams on the interstates by leaving earlier. Just like in life there are a lot lesser traveled back roads to be enjoyed.
