If everybody did that -get up and move ,everybody would end up in a traffic jam about a mile from home.
What you state is impossible unless people start when the tropical wave forms off africa.
and besides if Florida pick up and left you could not possibly feed and house them all near by, they would need to scatter all across the country.
just not practical ,besides more would die on the roads then from the storm.
