Would you post your and your partner's back and forth audio of parking your camper/motorhome? I got a new dashcam and it's been my favorite recent toy. While reviewing videos, I realized it captured just what I said: the audio of my wife and I backing our trailer at the last couple of spots.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMURplDONl0We got to Treasure Isle RV Park in Hot Springs, AR on Saturday of Labor Day. They had forgotten my reservation and assigned our spot to someone else. Office was closed, but over the phone they moved us into a different pull-thru spot, but right as we were getting out to start unhitching, they rolled up and sheepishly admitted, that spot was also taken.They upgraded us to a lake front spot for no additional charge but warned us that it was a back-in. It was more narrow than their pull-thrus, but had a great back yard. Fortunately, my wife and I have gotten pretty decent at backing in.

How did they 'forget' a reservation?

This thread wasn't even about the reservation. Good Lord, They made an error, they fixed it, OP sounds satisfied, done and over. Topic was about Husband/Wife communication.

I wish I had my dash cam on the last time I backed in at home. It is a narrow, tricky, right-angle turn. The GF was watching my TT tires near the cement landing to our stairwell so intently that I hit the roof gutter. I had to remind her to look around while the rig was going backwards. The other sweet thing she does is hold her hands apart the way one does to show how much more room there is to go, and then she abruptly slaps them together at the last minute. I love her.There it is all tucked away. The cement landing is at the base of the stairs. The rain gutter is the brown/rust colored feature above. Some of our interactions while backing in here are "colorful". I need one of those shirts that reads, "I am sorry for the things I said while backing up the trailer".

I found it easier to just do it my self.

We decide where we want it, and I back it in. Wife watches, and intervenes if I'm going to hit something. Usually takes only a couple of minutes.

I'm sure we disappoint the peanut gallery with our lack of drama.

Same here actually - we're getting better at it. My comment was just that compared to the lack of conflict with the original poster, We've had troubles.

I think this rig came with one, but parts were lost at the dealership. I finally got the monitor months later but it still doesn't work. I gave up on it. (shrug)

For the most part I agree. Having another set of eyes can be beneficial, however their tends to be less grief when I do it solo.
Solo is my preferred method for most sites.

LOL, it was an easy-ish spot. And we rarely yell at eAxh other. In fact, the only time we got heated while parking the rig was at a wide open 70’ long pull thru! It was the damnedest thing... couldn’t quite get straight to each other’s eyes.

That parking job was done way too easily! I didn’t hear one bit of cussing, no loud crunch, and your wife didn’t yell at you at all!

I wish. I usually lose myself about 1/2 way back in and forget my mental map of where I am, the trailer is, and the site is.

The couple of times I’ve attempted alone have been **** shows.

Ugh! Sorry to hear you hit the roof gutter. I had mix ups like that.

Yep, but no worries- I wrote a good bit about the experience so it made sense someone questioned it.
