if you ordered a 65 Impala in late 1964 with the new 396 engine.. you got a 1964 409 engine.. but the 65 Corvette did get the 396...
many went to court.. got nothing.. as production issues slowed production speed of the new 396. to this day. all data does not show a 65 Impala had a 409 engine. but was produced for 3 months.
early 1980's Oldsmobile... ordering a new Oldsmobile.. and it arrived with a Chevy engine.. many went to court... and failed...
