Did the OP check the VIN to see what model year it indicated? If 2016, and marketed as 2017, then he has a beef. Don't know why some people on here have to be such a-holes.
I'm very shocked how people feel this is acceptable practice. I do not believe people are thoroughly reading the vastness of the situation. I am NOT talking about 2 or 3 minor updates over any given model year.
And my feelings at the time of purchase have no bearing on this what-so-ever. What a ridiculous stance.
And...no one bothered to answer the questions I posted that when answered help understand the degree of difference I have here.
I also NEVER asked for or implied I was seeking a new camper.
I have only asked for a few of the easiest bolt on and replaceable items. And settled on only 2. One was indeed the rear ladder, but they refused to install it. That was insulting to me. Any little bit more and I would have felt better and faded away.
So let's run over this again for those slow movers out there.
I was sold a an RV marketed and titled as a 2017. When 2017 marketing literature was out for 2017 models, a dozen+ changes were made, NONE of which I have. Some are simple, some significant.
My title says 2017 but its a 2016 model. Not ONE of a dozen marekted 2017 updates can be found on my RV. I expect my 2017 model to match 2017 OEM documentation. Its that simple.
If only 2 or 3 things were missing, or even one major thing, I would not have an issue. The list and their marketing of said list is what sets this apart.
As long as so many of you accept this practice and even defend it, it will only get worse for everyone. Wait until it happens to you.
Look, I am not looking for sympathy here. I am looking for attention to create a small wave of change.
If you have fallen victim to this situation (which I know many have) I urge consumers to stand up and file formal complaints with the FTC, BBB and also your States consumer protection department.
