By some of your logic, if you go out and buy a 2015 F-150 and find magnets stick to it, that's just the way the industry works? You got what you paid for?
Interesting and valid analogy!
I respect your counterpoint, but I think the door example might be stretching it a bit much. Reign it in a little more to where I can fully agree with you. Doors missing on an automobile might be analogous to access doors on an RV that is missing.
I think the OP using the F-150 example is something of which a truck purchaser would not accept under a similar pretext. I know, I know- trucks and RV trailers are 2 different animals, But as to mid year changes (I would think) would be evident event to the most inept truck buyer whereas RV's might not.
I could empathize with the OP if it was believed that the RV was a 2017 and received a 2016 instead. I can see where that might affect resale value. But I believe I read that this thread topic model is the newer year.
OP- I think that you like the RV by the fact that you purchased it- right? Life is too short to fret something that you like. Don't let this worry fester or you will never enjoy the camper. If you think you will never get over the differences in model years then sell it now while it still has some decent value. Sure you will take the depreciation hit. But it is only money, and it may be better peace of mind to get out of it and buy the one you really hoped to have.
What I am trying to say s this: some folks harshed you here perhaps not as you expected. Like a New Yorker would say: fugget about it. Pack up the camper and go camping.... and enjoy it.
Respectfully,
frank
