The difference is that they bought a 2017 and it IS a 2017. After they purchased, Grand Design updated some features. It's NOT a 2016, but its feature set is similar to a 2016. By the way, I'll bet you that an early 2016 is different from a late 2016 model too. Nature of the beast. This whole thread is a non-issue, other than complaining that they missed out on the newer features.
