These are bands that wrap around the steering wheel take them off one by one when none remain safe to leave.
I have and use them. I love them. I do my walk-around and check everything, put things away, etc. Then I climb in the driver seat and one by one remove the straps. There have been a couple times that I've said "oops" and made a quick trip to close a window, lock a compartment, etc.
However, they are not error proof - if you don't put them on the steering wheel, then they don't remind you of anything.
