Isn't that what marketing is all about? to get people into their retail stores? SURE it works or they wouldn't use this approach, along with millions of other stores using every marketing ploy under the sun. :)

what is your beef with marketing? Are you a fired ad exec or something? Cause marketing is out there, will always be out there and will always happen in the future. it sure isn't going away!
Okay, okay - I agree 100%. My original post was to intended to highlight that the marketing (as mentioned by the OP) worked. Maybe, just maybe the OP didn't "get the best of CW today", I was suggesting it was a transaction that was mutually beneficial. Like my father says, "there is no such thing as a free lunch". It was not a slight against that person or CW. Not an attack, and certainly not meant to be a gripe... I agree this is a win-win. I know that text can't always have a tone, but mine was intended to be more upbeat.
So no, I don't have a cloud following me. No, not a fired ad exec. Not trying to rain on anybody's parade. I am not too terribly offended by comments directed at me for a comment made on a board, sponsored by the company that the post was about...
