In the mail last week we received the camping world brochure with a coupon for 25 dollars - no minimum purchase. I have had one or two of these before and usually end up spending three times that amount when I redeem the coupon which of course is CW marketing strategy. Today we went and really didn't need anything but of course I wanted to 'spend' the 25 dollars. So we bought some cleaning supplies, a new toilet bowl brush and a collapsible bucket that I have wanted to have. Total bill 24.97. Thank you Marcus.

And for him, whether $25 or $11, he got it for free. Why not spread it around?

Would have cost me $25 for fuel to make the round trip to the nearest CW. Walmart is 3 blocks away. Cheaper there also.

Hey, when a company sends out coupons, or includes a "Rebate" form or .. Well many things like that.. They always assume that only a small percentage of them will get used,, And many of the coupon users will over spend the coupon.. This is why Dollar Generous gives you a coupon on every receipt 5.00 off on purchases of 25 or more.. Me, I usually get change back from a 20 so can't use it.

Let's not bash the guy who wisely spent the coupon and kept his cash in his wallet. I rather liked it.. Would make more use of those coupons myself save... Well, that would just about pay for the gas to drive the CAR to the nearest CW... I'd still have to get home.

What about all those stores that advertise buy-one..get-one... Nothing wrong there,,, are you bitter about those also.. ANY time us consumers get something for free it's a good thing.. No ploy... Just a good thing

Isn't that what marketing is all about? to get people into their retail stores? SURE it works or they wouldn't use this approach, along with millions of other stores using every marketing ploy under the sun. :)

Even people 'market' themselves every single day. Marketing is all around ya.

what is your beef with marketing? Are you a fired ad exec or something? Cause marketing is out there, will always be out there and will always happen in the future. it sure isn't going away!

Gee - I see a lot of blinking ads on here for CW - oh yea! the forum is owned by them... Since it must always be raining on you, find the coupon and use it for an umbrella!

I'll take $11 worth of free stuff all day long.

And if they decide the marketing/advertising isn't working, then they stop with the coupons. Which means no body gets $11 worth of free stuff. Marketing/advertising is everywhere so why not take advantage of it when you can.
