I just cant understand...
All this about composting toilets! I know its a personal choice, but everytime i hear someone mention one, i cant help but think of a kitty litter box! And for us, solar is just too darn expens...

I thought that the composting toilets and solar chargers were part of the survivalist mindset. If you have to suddenly live off grid, without any utilities. I believe in being ready for emergencies but I don't go crazy with it like some of these survivalists do. A lot can be learned from how our great grandparents lived.
As for solar I prefer it over a generator even if off-grid by choice.
