I'd take a manual awning over our electric any day. It bangs around in the lightest breeze, and I'd hate to see what a moderate wind would do to it. The manual awnings are a bit more work, just a bit more mind you, but they are much more robust.
Yeah it's easy to push that button to put it in and out, but that's because you have to do it so often. Push the button and put the awning out, wind comes up a little so push the button and put the awning in, wind dies down so push the button and put the awning out, wind comes back up so push the button and put the awning in, and so on and so on.
