I too really liked the electric awnings when I first saw them .... I'd be much more likely to use one when overnighting than I am to put out our manual awning .... to me that (and the vaunted pushing a button to put is in/out) is the extent of the advantage .... the biggest weakness with an electric awning is you aren't supposed to tie it down .... I know that some do and that's up to them but the manufactures say that is a no-no ... we like to leave our tied down manual awning out at night so as to protect the chairs, grill and other stuff we leave outside
