I agree 100%. We love to sit beneath our awning when it is raining. Thunder storms are another thing, however. If we are "home" during a thunderstorm, everything outside gets put away, mostly under the trailer and the awning gets rolled back. If we are expecting storms while we are away, the awning just needs to be dropped all the way down and everything outside gets placed up against the trailer, under the awning -- TV and all. I'll admit, there have been a few times I failed to check the weather forecast before leaving with the awning fully extended and a thunderstorm rolled through. We completely lost our awning once, but the other times things just got wet.
