I'll have to agree with the part I left in from your post, but many think like I do as far as manual vs electric. Electric (automatic) is a great thing to have until it started failing, like many other things..I know.
Example is: my parents' motor home had the auto steps where they come in and go out with the opening of the door. Those things are great.... as long as they work. They had 4 sets of steps put on in less than 2 years. I just kept "unfolding" my steps while they had to use a little "2 step" step ladder to get in and out of their Dolphin MH. Talking about looking red neck. Some things are just better left simple, others are worth taking a chance on.
BTW, I hated the spring loaded awning so I change it out for the Pioneer Upgrade Kit. I now have an electric awning. I pull out the portible drill motor and unwind my awning. :D
