a bit younger but we also changed our camping style. we went smaller :)
sold the 40 ft monster toyhauler for a 34 ft travel trailer toyhauler.
We decided we don't want more, we just want to camp and enjoy. More means 'more work' to us :) And the future will hold a smaller rv in it when we go full time and longer travels.
You made a great decision. Get one that suits you to a T and go off and enjoy as long as you can. The EASE of it all should be sheer enjoyment :) instead of the 'work' involved. Best of luck to you and let us all know what you bought when you make the change.
