Conventional wisdom, ie. before the recession lol, was that your housing costs should be lower than 33% of gross income- ideally lower than 30%. With the range of recommendations here, I'd pick a combo; Idaho is a beautiful state- is Pocatello or elsewhere cheaper, so you are still "near" what you enjoy about Boise? With your savings, and hopefully a higher paying job, you can better enjoy many of the options discussed in your RV and still set aside funds for emergencies and late use. Full time because you have to won't be as enjoyable as full time because you want to. Don't delay to tomorrow what you could enjoy today.
