I guess I was the only twenty something year old back in the seventies that had put his bare arm all the way into a four inch pipe to get the, really, rubber ducky out of the sewer pipe.
After that, life smells better and one does not have the same concerns. Oh, even then you worried for a few days. But life goes on because you saved a big plumbers bill when you could not afford it.
I do wear cloves when dumping. Big heavy ones so people can see them. Then I put them in the same container the dump hoses go. I also always run with a full fresh water tank I drink out of and wash my hands.
