Some people, nurses for example, that have used a lot of latex gloves have developed an allergy to latex which can severely affect the respiratory system. As a result the medical profession has switched away from latex gloves to other plastics such as nitrile.
This is not to say that you will develop this allergy if you use latex gloves, but a few might. Is the risk off developing some problem by not using gloves when dumping greater or less than developing a latex allergy by using latex gloves when dumping?
