I need an easier way to get from front to back

It's hard to get from the driver's seat of my van into the rear living space. Mainly this is because the seat and footwell are low compared to the rear floor, and my knees are not so great. Do you...

Could you please state what year and model of Ford van you have? I doubt very much it is a "mini-van" unless it says "Windstar" on the exterior.
