My first remembrances of camping was in a late 50's VW Kombi in Panama. Mom and Dad slept inside brother and I in tents. Mid sixties back in the states, dad bought a VW camper. My first wife and I went with another couple tent camping ONE time. Back of truck was filled with fans, and other modern day appliances.
I drive our MH to a campground, I like what we do, but I don't consider it camping. Others have their opinion and that's fine. Camping involves canvas, Coleman stoves and lanterns, ropes, wood fires, trips to the woods of campground facilities, smores and marshmallows on the end of a stick.
