my parents never camped but as a young teen my 2 buddies and i would go camping and being from oregon we never had to go far to get into the woods. then when i married and we had kids i wanted to teach my daugthers the camping fun so they camped before they could walk. now the wife and i are divorced but we both still camp with our new partners and my daugthers camp with there kids. so i think its a great family tradition
