When we first got our TT a few years back we fell for the yeah your truck can tow it. It did tow it, but I was not comfy on trips. I'm sure it weighed around 10000 and I pulled it with my F150. Had the tow package but I'm sure I was very close or over the tongue weight.
But yeah, some of those guys will tell you anything to sell. Thankfully my wife was receptive to upgrading our TV to a 250. worked very well till we got the current fiver and 350 dually.
