- jake2250ExplorerMaybe his buddy with a big ol 4x4 lent him this trailer and he is going camping?? Not perfect but its gonna get the job done. Its an obvious axle flip on the trailer.
Don't really see any other laws being broken.. That Ford Exploder can handle that small trailer.. - lanerdExplorer II

It's interesting that nobody has mentioned the fact that the trailer wheels are back near the crown of the road, the TV's rear wheels are in the gutter, and the TV's front wheels are up the incline into the parking lot or next lane. This will exaggerate any angle at the hitch. The rig does seem to be hitch-heavy, but not as severely as perception might indicate.

Exactly. Much to do about nothing.:R
Ron - dodge_guyExplorer IIHaving owned 2 of those years of Explorers, they have leaf springs. I`ve towed an Award TT which weighed in at 5k lbs loaded. with a 520lb tongue weight. Even mine didn`t sag as much as that one is. the trailer definitely has flipped axles. however they never got the proper rise hitch to match the new height of the trailer. It may be a bit of an optical illusion with the way the road is crowned, but the Explorer is still sagging in the rear and the front suspension is very unloaded.
Get a proper WD hitch and set the height of the hitch correctly and you would`ve never have noticed it! - braindead0ExplorerLike the subject said, needs a WD hitch and some adjustment. Maybe they like it like that, nice easy steering...
At least the driver seemed to be taking it easy, maybe just picked it up and taking home.. who knows. Just thought it was a good shot of a poorly setup rig. - old_guyExplorerhe needs to reposition his hitch height and it sure will help him tow better with a WDH also

That's a factor here yes, but the front fenders are clearly raised far too high. He has very little steering control left. That's not caused by a small dip in the road unless the OP caught the shot in a hard bounce. But it doesn't appear like he's moving very fast. - lanerdExplorer III don't agree. The explorer looks like it is pretty level to me with the exception of the truck not being on level ground. The awkward positioning of the combination distorts the actual hookup. Too bad the OP didn't take a picture when the Explorer and trailer were on level ground.....might be a whole different story.
Ron - Lots of people tow like that. Must be normal if it is so common.
- braindead0ExplorerThe road is crowned, if anything that's making it look more level than it is when the TV rear tires were in the middle of the road in the second picture. That rig was nowhere near level.
- lanerdExplorer IIMaybe so, but without a pic of the truck/trailer being on level ground, it's all subjective.
