If he regularly tows at 75+, he needs to get LT tires. ST tires call for no more than 65 mph.

The sun seems to be the biggest enemy of tires and it sounds like you keep it indoors when not in use and cover tires when in the sun. I just don't trust cheap tires at high speeds.
