We have the Dometic, same as you can get at CW, but we got it on sale at Target.
Pros: Never pay for ice again, or have to go get it.
Cons: Takes a while to produce the first batches of ice, can be noisy in quiet environments.
We run ours a bit different than most have posted here. Since we are weekend warriors, we don't bother moving/storing the ice in the freezer. We just leave it in the ice maker. When it is full, it shuts off, and melt will eventually cause it to remake more ice. The melt goes back into the water reservoir. The bottom line is that there is al last always a full ice load in the ice maker, which will provide enough ice for 3-7 drinks depending on how much ice you use per. That is usually just fine for us. By the time we need more, it's already made. When it's time to leave, we drain the remaining water out (there is a drain plug) and prop the door open with a plastic piece so that it airs out. We love it.
