An E450 is over 9000lbs on the rear axle! So are almost all A's.
The 9000lb limit was never accurate, it was 9 tons/axle. That too has been removed, it's now open to all legal weight loads, once vehcile(heavy) at a time.
The signs were still on 55 yesterday, both sides of the bridge saying 9 per axle and then showing a 2 axle vehicle with a 27t limit.......politics instead of safety....IDT talks out of both sides of its mouth, one thing on their website and another in posted signs.
