Ralph,
1. My water pump is wide open if I unscrew the platform under the bed and prop it open with a stick.
2. My Parallax 7345 has been an excelllent performer - once I went to AGM batteries that are specified to be floated at 13.5-13.8 volts - and also charge fast enough for our camping style at 13.5-13.8 volts due to their low intrinsic resistance. Why should I throw away a $175 Parallax and replace it with a $175 multi-stage charger? I put that money into fast charging AGM batteries with a 13.5-13.8V float spec, instead.
3. At least Winnie supplied a full size spare that didn't take up a storage cabinet and didn't have to be hung off the back like a Pioneer Wagon. Winnie also supplied a huge heavy duty lug wrench to change it.
4. Coming from the manufacturer, Class C front passenger seats that swivel ARE VERY RARE on Class C motorhomes with a coach floor 3-4 inches higher than the cab floor. However, the higher coach floor does make possible several (six) outside storage cabinets that are actually usable.
5. You might wish your toilet had it's water supply own shutoff valve if the foot operated flush valve ever failed on a trip and you had to shut off all the water to your rig for the rest of the trip to keep from flooding your bathroom. Now I carry along an entire spare foot operated shutoff valve.
6. No cost cutting on that. Our same model 18 gallon (60 lbs. usable) Manchester propane tank is sill installed by Winnie on several of their 2018 Class C motorhomes, which - even in 2018 - still turns out to be larger than the tank in many other 2018 Class C rigs from other manufacturers.
7. Maybe cost cutting - or maybe their design engineers never thought of supplying the capability for maintaining slight positive air pressure inside the coach's interior for travel on dusty roads and for stopping any built-in generator fumes from entering through any cracks or pinholes.
8. Vent covers should be "standard" over any vent - as delivered from the RV factories.
9. I did stick an LED light in there years ago - but one should have already been there.
10. A gimmick is correct. I use an after-market combining valve that makes possible direct use of water from the grey tank to flush the black tank at emptying time.
11. Winnie probably thought that a 39 gallon fresh water tank size - for a 24 foot Class C back in 2005 - was already "large enough". Weight is not an issue for a 24 foot Class C on an E450 chassis.
12. Actually, a propane-only water heater is just fine for campers who drycamp as much as possible and who only leave their water heater turned on a few minutes for whenever hot water is needed.
13. I finally attached the front two mounting points of my automatic step using long 3/8 stainless steel lug bolts (with large-span stainless steel washers) that go way up into the coach floor. Not even Coach House or Tiffin would think of mounting their coach steps the fullproof way that I did - so that they will stay attached forever and never give way causing an old-timer or young-timer to break a hip or leg.
14. A propane oven is priceless for pizza at a boondock campsite so you don't have to use 120V AC generator power to run a convection oven ... but you can have laying down on your side such that one arm is not usable, using a headlamp to see want you're doing, and then reaching way back in with a long-nosed BBQ butane lighter to try several times to get the pilot light lit. What were "they" thinking with this design? Absurd on all fronts.
