Vulcaneer, you are wrong.. Jake2250 clearly said his old dog was not on a leash when the two nippers came at him... He states this on page 2 on his original post and quoted a couple of times after.. That's who Bird Freak was referring to I do believe.
The OP (Lumpty) did have HIS dog on a leash so maybe that's who you are thinking of??
While Jakes dog was not at fault in any way, having him off leash was not right either and just because he's the best behaved dog in the world should not negate the leash law..
Anyway, I will always blame the dog owners for a dogs BAD behavior... Most dog owners are idiots and don't have a freaking clue... Now, that is probably only 10% of the dog owners out there, but they are the ones that stand out the most and the ones who should be flogged.... (I mean this for the little nippers that came after Jakes dog too.. Jake is a very good dog owner I'm sure... He should still have had him on a leash and then the Ranger would have taken his side a lot more IMO... ;)
