Being owners of two small dogs, I cringe at the arrogant and ignorant dog owners that give a perceived bad reputation to all of us. Not all of us are like some of the people we read about here almost weekly.
Our dogs will never bite you as they are "always" on a 6 foot leash ( and not the recoil ones people use that are more like 20' ). They are never unattended while outside or tied to a chair leg. They are also trained with spray collars and you won't hear them when we aren't there or when outside with us.
I can understand the OP frustration as we've been chased down with our dogs while walking by other's "friendly dogs" many times. I won't take a chance either, if they get too close they get kicked or sprayed. No second guessing it. If the owners have a problem we can sort it out with the law enforcement people if needed. But the owners of the establishment will be made aware. If needed we'll leave the campground. Life is to short to put up with idiots. Leash rules apply to everyone's dogs.
