THERE you have one of the reasons why I like Forest Service campgrounds here in Montana. There is usually NO electric power except what you bring with you.
It is very unusual to have "scare lights" or any other light on all night.
However, it is a fairly safe bet that there will be a campfire in the evening at nearly every site, when allowed.
The campgrounds are usually dark and quiet.
It is truly amazing how many stars are visible when you are miles away from light pollution!
